SUP & windsurfing Wulfener Hals on Fehmarn

The Wulfener Hals SUP & windsurfing area on Fehmarn is one of the best bays anywhere to learn stand-up paddling and windsurfing or to move up to the next league. A renowned surf school is located directly on the large bay, with top equipment and experienced surf instructors who offer courses for beginners to power surfers, depending on the wind strength. SUP hire or SUP courses and the new trend sport of wingfoiling are also available here.

In stronger winds, you can harness through the long bay to the other side, usually with just a few choppy waves in between. The disadvantage is that people like to skip the jibe, turn the board round and head back to Wulfen. This quickly takes its toll at other surf spots.

In light winds or calm conditions, Wulfen is a very practical place to learn stand up paddling. There are plenty of parking spaces, the beach is not far away and there are also restaurants. There is a large campsite right by the bay where you can stay longer in Wulfen with your campervan.
