SUP Spot Hopfensee lakeside promenade in Hopfen

The SUP spot Hopfensee is located directly on the beautiful lakeside promenade, a central place to learn stand up paddling. You can also hire SUP boards and boats at the marina station. Lake Hopfensee offers ideal conditions on the mostly calm waters. It is only suitable for children to a limited extent, as there are pedal boats for hire, but the entry point is surrounded by large stones or can be reached via the jetty.

Lake Hopfensee in the Allgäu has an area of around 1.8 square kilometres and a maximum depth of around 8 metres. It lies at an altitude of around 790 metres above sea level.

Lake Hopfensee is part of the Forggensee system and is located near the town of Füssen in the Allgäu region.

There is a bus stop directly behind the station on the corner of Uferstraße and Bergstraße. There are several smaller car parks along the riverside promenade, with parking ticket machines.

Many cafés and restaurants are located directly behind the surf spot on the promenade, good for a whole day of paddling with a snack in between.
